SARAH TALKINS

Born and raised in Los Angeles, California, I was always surrounded by the beauty of the beach, mountains, and diverse architectural styles—from Spanish Revival to Craftsman. At a young age, I began working with my hands, experimenting with painting and sculpting. This love for creativity led me to Yeshiva University and its sister program at FIT, where I graduated with a BA in English Communications (Marketing).

After graduation, I worked in marketing, combining my creative and technical skills to help companies connect with their audiences. In 2019, I launched Better Call Bella, a fashion tech site that acted as a peer-to-peer sharing platform for designer and vintage clothing. Over the years, I gained experience styling and editing photoshoots, digital design, and managing social media.

Throughout my personal life, design has always been a constant passion. In 2012, I took on my first full gut renovation project, designing every detail myself. By 2018, I was working on a larger-scale project, and today I’m focused on a Spanish Revival renovation in Hollywood Lakes, Florida—paying homage to the architectural style I grew up with.

For me, the key to successful design is composition—a balance between the modern and the timeless. My goal is to create unique spaces that spark curiosity while standing the test of time
